what's up?

Speeding Motorcycle is still amazing.
Make yr reservations NOW!

other than that
just looking for work
(had a second interview recently that went well)
and drinking a bit
(or more than a bit,
or perhaps just
several successive bits)
and trying to finish casting
"the adding machine"
and trying not to panic
about this or that
or any other thing
and taking naps
lots of naps
sometimes at night
in fact
I think I'm going
back to bed now
or shortly
maybe
I'll watch some TV
or read some comics
or sing "Wedding"
to myself 100 times
(did I mention
that you
should go see
Speeding Motorcycle?)

Go read Starfucker's latest coupla
posts on the show...

last night was a good night
some good friends saw the show
and dug it much.
Daniel came and saw it again
with his band "the Nitemares"
They also all dug it much.
Drank at the axiom,
rudz, then...

last night
a notsuoh night

some disappointed
I left before daylight

just drank soda there though...

so now I really do think
it's back to bed
so I can be ready
and fresh
(after a red bull or two)
for the show tonight.

Podcast - Last Bastions - Tomorrow Never Knows

Thought I'd combine the themes of the last two podcasts and give you what may be the last bastions only cover. This piece was comissioned by trombonist David Dove and later released in a private edition of 17.
It includes the quietest music we've ever played (the begining and end), a beatles cover (the whole thing) and us playing in front of people who were not expecting us (the horns were recorded on the streets of downtown houston on a Friday night.)
I'm pretty proud of this one.
Hope you enjoy it.

more madness from maybe BLP

or at least some BLP related madness or something...

Yahoo! 360 - Skews Me - Summer Camp

Yahoo! 360 - Skews Me - Summer Camp:
"I remember 'the screwdriver.' Upon hearing a particular trigger phrase, I was to lie down to bed that night, wake up the next morning, get money from a bank, purchase a camera, then go to 'the scene of the crime' and take a picture. Even then I refused to complete the final step as it just wreaked of a setup.

That trigger was pulled on me in 1996 at a job I had where they eventually ganged up on me to get me fired. The job was across the hall from a dentist's office where about once a month so much nitrous oxide was used it poured into the hallway. On those days, people at the other jobs didn't show up to work and the children leaving the dentist's office looked spaced out and their parents very serious. I reported my suspicions by phone to the FBI, but all they said was 'no crime is being committed.'"

File Under: I love my country, but I fear my government

A History Of US Secret Human Experimentation:
"1966 U.S. Army dispenses Bacillus subtilis variant niger throughout the New York City subway system. More than a million civilians are exposed when army scientists drop lightbulbs filled with the bacteria onto ventilation grates.

1967 CIA and Department of Defense implement Project MKNAOMI, successor to MKULTRA and designed to maintain, stockpile and test biological and chemical weapons.

1968 CIA experiments with the possibility of poisoning drinking water by injecting chemicals into the water supply of the FDA in Washington, D.C.

1969 Dr. Robert MacMahan of the Department of Defense requests from congress $10 million to develop, within 5 to 10 years, a synthetic biological agent to which no natural immunity exists."
