"Q: If you say, got a chimpanzee, and stuck some sweets on to your guitar strings, would the chimps efforts to remove the sweets end up sounding like some free improvised music, and would you be able to tell if this is real music or not? Because music is sound, after all.
A: Yes I’m sure the chimp’s efforts would sound like some free improvised music, and that music would contain the creators (in this case the chimp) stamp. For some listeners the result would be perfectly satisfying and for others not. I think any ‘musical’ events in this case would be accidental (and all the more apparent as the piece progressed) and as such, it would be divorced from the higher aspect of creative consciousness I have alluded to earlier. Whether anyone could tell or not isn’t necessarily the point (unless they are writing a review!) its whether or not it quenches your particular thirst. Having said that, if large expanses of my work could easily be confused with that of a chimp’s, I would seriously reconsider my options! For me music is ‘made up’ of sound, it is in a sense sound PLUS craft…..hence the ‘art’ of music. It’s a subtle difference."

think hillary is better on most of the issues,
but not sure she can beat McCain...
still not sure what I'm going to do.
Feeling broken lately -
been on the wrong track

just not sure what yet.

Now, for all of you unfortunate souls who missed it the first time, we are doing a remount of the production for our "Rotten to the Core" tour, beginning at Diverseworks January 17, 18 and 19, 2008, and traveling to other Texas Cities in February and March, such as Rude Mechanicals in Austin, and The Strand Theatre in Galveston. What is Rot? A by Mildred's Umbrella resident playwright John Harvey. What is Rot? A collaboration between two of Houston's premier theater companies. What is Rot? A husband dying of the plague. What is Rot? A daughter who, after setting the world on fire and destroying the sun, comes home to find out what happened to her dog. What is Rot? The alleged necessity of authority is so firmly planted in the average mind that anarchy, which means simply 'no government' is almost unthinkable to most people. The same people, on the other hand, will admit that rules, regulations, taxes, officiousness and abuse of power (to name but a few) are irritating to say the least. These things are usually thought to be worth suffering in silence because the alternative - no power, no authority, everybody doing what they pleased - would be horrible. It would be anarchy.

Now, for all of you unfortunate souls who missed it the first time, we are doing a remount of the production for our "Rotten to the Core" tour, beginning at Diverseworks January 17, 18 and 19, 2008, and traveling to other Texas Cities in February and March, such as Rude Mechanicals in Austin, and The Strand Theatre in Galveston. What is Rot? A by Mildred's Umbrella resident playwright John Harvey. What is Rot? A collaboration between two of Houston's premier theater companies. What is Rot? A husband dying of the plague. What is Rot? A daughter who, after setting the world on fire and destroying the sun, comes home to find out what happened to her dog. What is Rot? Two gentlemen sitting in the front parlor in their underwear. What is Rot? Puppets in the furniture remembering what the family would like to forget. What is Rot? A happy death. 2) John Edwards is by far the Democrats' strongest candidate in the general election. He is the only one who is not beaten outright by any Republican candidate: He ties with Giuliani at 44% each, but easily beats McCain, Thompson, Romney, and Huckabee, the latter two by double-digit margins.
I would never have thought that this would be an argument I could make for a candidate I support.
