To have seen
Christina go from a girl
who couldn't perform
without facing away from
the audience and chain smoking
to the woman I saw perform tonight...
in a word - wow.

Tom's been one of my favorite git players since
The Mike Gunn, and tonight certainly didn't change that...

The performance just had so much meaning and resonance for me...

I'm really tying lots of pieces of my past together
with what I'm trying to do now
right now
and there was a lot about tonight
that helped me
with that

old friends
righteous theater
good music
whiskey
weed
connections
and
creativity

so many of you
are positive
and good
and right
more than
wrong

of course
that might be
the caffeine talking

so much today
I vibrated
and couldn't
stop smiling

anyway,
tonight
has recharged
my inspiration
and
my generosity

so
if yr gonna pull
some dick move
now's the time...

not only do I get to see a sneak preview of Hide Town I then get to rush over to Rudz and see/hear CHARALAMBIDES!!!
and I have tomorrow off...
so it's energy drinks and whiskey and
generally unclean livin' tonight...
yeeehah!

I livewd upstairs from tom and christina (and with jason bill) for a while...

and before that I saw charalambides every sunday at Harvey's

(with the dave/paul duo)...

In addition to being two of the coolest people I know they are also

an amazing band live...and a large part of the reason I make the music I do...
