so, insomnia kind of sucks...

I was falling asleep on the couch at 10...
then I went to lay down...
30 minutes later I was wide awake,
and now here I am...

whoohooo!

I've almost got on my bike 3 or 4 times to go somewhere,
anywhere,
but I've talked myself out of it everytime...

eh...

A Story For You About the Urge to GO OUT:

A long time ago I was the girlfriend of a poet that drank too much. One night he was getting deep into a 12 pack and I said, "I'm not going to sit here and watch you get drunk all night; I'm going to ride my bike home." And he said, "Fine, but you better not stop anywhere." And I said, "I won't." And he said, "Well, go straight home, NOT TO LOLA'S." Hadn't he figured out by then that I had O.D.D. (Oppositional Defiance Disorder) really bad?
On the way home, I'm thinking that one little drink won't hurt and who does that asshole think he is telling me to go straight home?. I saw a sweet girlfriend of mine and got a drink and started talking to her out on the patio. In about 30 minutes, who should I see appear at the door but the poet, looking right at me and hot mad. I told my girlfriend before he could get over to us, "Oh Jesus, it's him! Just tell him you saw me on my bicycle and asked me to come have a drink!" He began striding towards us with an ugly look on his face. When he got within 10 feet of us, my girlfriend suddenly jumped forward and blurted out in a panicked voice, "I saw her on her bicycle and I made her come in and she didn't come here by herself to have a drink!"
Thanks for helping, sweet girlfriend.
Hope that wasn't boring, but the event sure stuck in my mind.
