Salon.com Arts & Entertainment | The Fix

Salon.com Arts & Entertainment | The Fix: "Also: Richard Linklater has signed on to direct the remake of 'The Bad News Bears,' starring Billy Bob Thornton "

I didn't think they could do this and possibly improve on the original in any way...
now I only think...WOW! I can't wait...bad santa and school of rock are actually two of my favorite recent movies...

You know, I think this could actually work: who else could replace Walter Matthau? And Linklater's "good game" moment in Dazed and Confused is the essence of 70s little league baseball. I'm pretty excited, myself.

I bet to differ, you guys need to hold off the reefer. This movie sound like one of the pitches in the beginning on 'The Player'. It shows that Linklater has to pay the bills in order to make Waking Life or Before Sunset.
Personally, I'm waiting for the Jerry Bruckheimer remake of Dr. Strangelove, with Chris Kittan and Micheal Madsen.
