"Western Martial Arts Styles at Catholic Academy of Sacramental Combat Arts"

"Western Martial Arts Styles at Catholic Academy of Sacramental Combat Arts": "# You teach grappling and weapons, but so do Asian martial arts. What makes your perspective unique?

A: What makes our style unique is the distinctive Christian spirituality involved in our martial arts. Parents of Christians don't have to shuffle through the various pagan philosophies to discern which is consistent with orthodox Christian doctrine, and which is not.

# If that is the case, how does this differ from Christian karate?

A: Christian karate removes non-Christian philosophy from karate, and replaces it with Christian philosophy. C.A.S.C.A. uses martial arts that either go back to Biblical times, or were developed during Europe's Catholic era, when religious knightly orders were thoroughly permeated by Christian philosophy. Therefore, instead of adapting a non-Christian martial art to Christian use, C.A.S.C.A. maintains a historical link to Catholic spirituality and combat systems."

hot damn!
