DJ T-Biscuit

DJ T-Biscuit:
"D.J. T-Biscuit

One of the most mysterious figures of the deep DEEP underground Houston rap scene, producer, rapper, and keyboardist D.J. T-Biscuit began as the house D.J. for deep DEEP underground Houston label Jimmy Hat Records, after learning the ropes under the tutelage of Louisiana underground rap legends Jam Master Chuck, MCA, and The Middle Man in the short-lived group MAC in the late 80s. D.J. T-Biscuit first gained recognition recording with forgotten Houston greats Def Dave, Gangsta C and D.J. Swisher in the early-to-mid 90s. After the relative success of the group's single 'With These Hands (My Jimmy's Gettin' Thicka),' D.J. T-Biscuit launched a solo career, releasing his first album Bitches and Food in 1996 in a limited pressing. After the success of the album's single 'Manicotti,' T-Biscuit began work on a new album, Screaming Itches in the Crotch (Makin' Ya Wanna Dance!), which he released the following year.

Though critics panned the album for its 'creative' production techniques (including a backing track of live locusts that ran throughout the entire album's length), the single 'In the Summer' did respectably well, and the album's closing track 'D.J. T-Biscuit Speaks with his Casio' has been cited as influential in HIC member Charlie Naked's usage of cheap analog keyboards, featured on his own album The Magnificent Octopus. Naked actually appeared as one of three saxophone players on Screaming Itches..., while HIC member Charlie Horshack played guitar on several tracks on Bitches and Food. In 1998, Jimmy Hat Records folded, leaving T-Biscuit without a label, and with no way to reissue his two albums, so due to the efforts of Naked and Horshack, HIC Records proudly presents:

Bitches and Food

Two seminal albums combined for the full mid-90s D.J. T-Biscuit experience. All the 'hits' are here... as well as several of T-Biscuit's skillz-flexin' instrumentals, for layin' back, lightin' up,"
