So,
I'm reading about the Gospel of Judas and I'm beginning to think my early church experiences were weirder than I previously thought...
I remember it being mentioned in Sunday School that Judas was supposed to betray Jesus...
that he was playing his part. Now it may have just been a "God's Plan" explanation, and not a "he and Jesus worked it all out in advance" explanation but I don't remember being taught ever that Judas was some kind of satan-inspired monster...
So, was my church secretly some kind of haven for Gnostics?
