We Need Fewer Secrets

A few words from the only decent president in my lifetime:

We Need Fewer Secrets:
"The U.S. Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) turns 40 tomorrow, the day we celebrate our independence. But this anniversary will not be a day of celebration for the right to information in our country. Our government leaders have become increasingly obsessed with secrecy. Obstructionist policies and deficient practices have ensured that many important public documents and official actions remain hidden from our view."

Ya know, for a reptile this guy is o.k...

Jimmy Carter made a lot of sense as president--esp. at home but no one listened then, and very few are listening now--other than to knock him down. He practiced what he preached; today Congress doesn't. "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to God the things that are God's." Why is that so hard for this Congress? P. Wilson
