REAL ART (and politics and culture)

More on Senator "Man-on-Dog"'s new fuck the workers bill.

REAL ART (and politics and culture):
"Even though the $2.13 minimum wage for tipped employes currently required by the federal government is nearly a joke now, getting rid of it entirely is no laughing matter. There's a lot of work that waiters, for instance, are required to do that has nothing to do with tipping, like rolling silverware, prepping wait stations, or even mopping and sweeping. What will happen under Senate Majority Leader Santorum's bill if it becomes law is that all these additional tasks would be done simply for the 'privilege' of working for tips. I can already feel myself bending over. "

They're gonna roll it all back...labor law, the environment, civil rights, all going the way of the dodo...
if you engineer your society around the idea of "every man for himself" you get the kind of society you deserve - a selfish one.
They're going to fold on Social Security. It's one they can't win. But they can use it to distract us while they deliver the one-two punch with the bankruptcy bill and this atrocity Santorum is pushing. These are the bills we need to be fighting.

That's the scariest thing... we need to fight ALL the bills... I don't even know if it's a matter of choosing your battles anymore; every battle desperately requires fighting... anyone who came out of that election not recognizing this as an all-out ideological war in America is blind... it IS a war... this is "their time" and if they are not beaten back at every turn, their terrible impact will be felt for generations, and will be that much harder to undo...

Mike,
TPM has a great special edition blog keeping up with developments on this bill. I reccomend checking it out.

I'm planning to call Joe Biden today and ask him when and where he decided to stop being a Democrat (bankruptcy filings mean lots of business in...guess where...Delaware!)

And I assume he was being sarcastic with that 'Senate Majority Leader Santorum' comment, right?

Not sarcasm, just being stupid. Maybe I only fear Santorum taking over the senate.
